Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Mvungi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - In Da Club. Mvungi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Professor Jay ft. Ferooz - Nikusaidiaje? kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mvungi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.

Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Mvungi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Mvungi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mvungi lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
Mvungi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Mvungi lands with a hook. Gracie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mvungi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gracie had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mvungi did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mvungi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mvungi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mvungi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mvungi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mvungi lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Mvungi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.
Mvungi has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mvungi finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.

Mvungi connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gracie! He's out on his feet! Mvungi rushes in and drops Gracie with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
