Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Lok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marsden comes into the arena with Feiticeira by Deftones blaring out of the sound system. Lok is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Butthole Surfers - Pepper. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Marsden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Lok! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsden throws out a loose jab but Lok uses good head movement to avoid it. Lok takes one to the chin there. Lok staying out of range there. Marsden on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Marsden tries a head kick but it misses.
Lok throws a jab but it's blocked by Marsden. Lok thows a left - swing and a miss! Lok displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marsden throws out the jab. Marsden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Marsden pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lok connects with a body shot that sends Marsden's belly button to the back. Lok moves away from the strike by Marsden. Lok feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lok looking to pass the guard. Lok is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lok has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lok missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Marsden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Marsden keeping moving, preventing Lok from controlling successfully. Lok stays in close to Marsden's body and controls the position. Lok postures up in Marsden's guard and throws a big left but Marsden blocks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lok is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marsden has escaped the position, nice work there. Lok throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Lok politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lok prefers to stall for the moment though. Marsden gets back to half guard. Lok wants to take a breather but Marsden is having none of it. Lok sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Marsden defending well though. Lok is keen to just control but Marsden is a slippery customer. Lok throws a strike but Marsden avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Marsden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lok trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Marsden has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lok is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Marsden.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lok is putting a hurting on Marsden here, landing some big shots from side control. Lok trying to control the action but Marsden is working from the bottom. Marsden taking punishment in the form of punches.
Marsden is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Rancid Fight Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it. That's one minute gone in the round. Lok throws an elbow but Marsden slips to the side and avoids it well. Lok misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Marsden is looking for a sweep. Marsden gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lok is nestled in close to Marsden, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lok is stalling here. Marsden is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lok seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Marsden has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Marsden sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lok is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Damien Lok is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Marsden looks to land a left hand but Lok moved out of range nicely. Marsden lands a head kick. Lok smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lok lands a jab to the nose. Damien Lok seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lok throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Marsden pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Marsden shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lok eats them both and turns towards Marsden to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lok is rocked! Marsden fails to land with a series of punches.
Lok is still on wobbly legs! Can Marsden finish him? Lok tries to clinch up but Marsden circles away and keeps his distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marsden is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lok. Marsden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Marsden throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lok sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lok throws a looping overhand right but Marsden ducks down to avoid it. Marsden throws a head kick but Lok moves out of range.

Lok seems to have recovered his senses. Lok lands with a right hand. Brandon Marsden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lok closes the distance and clinches up with Marsden, looking for a takedown. Lok pushes Marsden against the cage but Marsden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lok fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Marsden defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lok. Lok throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lok moves in looking to clinch but Marsden pushes him off. Lok closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Marsden dodges the ground and pound from Lok.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Damien Lok. Well Lok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
