Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bilbo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaito Rin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rin has chosen Death Before Dishonor as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bilbo Baggins! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaito Rin! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggins misses with a looping right. A nice inside leg kick there by Rin. That's going to slow Baggins down. Rin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Baggins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Baggins throws the left hand but Rin avoids the punch easily. Rin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Baggins checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Baggins misses with a right hand and Rin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rin. Rin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good shot there by Baggins. Nice jab there from Rin. This has been an exciting period of action! Baggins throws a left and a right that both miss

Baggins is looking to take this one to the mat. Baggins blocks a body shot from Rin. Rin lands a body shot. Baggins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rin is trying to keep an underhook but Baggins manages to get the takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Baggins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Baggins raining down hammerfists from mount.

Baggins misses with some ground and pound and Rin recovers position to half guard. Rin tries to roll over but Baggins keeps him under control. Rin keeps trying to improve his position. Baggins sitting and controlling from the half guard. Baggins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rin defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Baggins works over Rin with some ground and pound from guard. Baggins throwing strikes from guard but Rin blocks nicely. Rin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Baggins makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Baggins with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Baggins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Baggins, into his guard. Baggins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rin is aware though and is defending well.

Rin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rin forces his way into half guard. Baggins is refusing to be controlled, as Rin sits in half guard. Rin works his way into full mount! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Baggins manages to regain half guard. Good work. Baggins cracks Rin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rin scores with a punch to the head. Baggins gets a takedown into half guard. Baggins lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Baggins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rin defends it well. Rin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Baggins throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rin to regain full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rin holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baggins postures up in Rin's guard and throws a big left but Rin blocks it. Baggins tries to free his leg and advance position but Rin is retaining full guard. Baggins looking to sit in guard and control but Rin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Baggins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Baggins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Baggins looking for a guillotine here but Rin defends easily.
Rin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baggins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rin has managed to get both his arms back between Baggins's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baggins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rin is one step ahead there. Rin connects with a couple of short punches. Baggins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rin manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baggins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Baggins! Baggins is in all sorts of trouble here.

Baggins tries to hold on but Rin pushes him away. Baggins is desperately trying to improve his position but Rin has a good base and remains in mount. Rin looking to control but Baggins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baggins can't escape the position.
Rin with shots to the head and body - Baggins looks very uncomfortable down there. Rin lands a big elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baggins tries to reverse the position but Rin maintains control. Baggins slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Rin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baggins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Baggins trying to control here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bilbo Baggins will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rin throws a leg kick which misses Baggins's front leg but catches the back leg as Baggins tries to avoid it. Baggins takes a swing at Rin's ribcage but misses. Rin is looking to clinch but Baggins is avoiding it.
Rin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Baggins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rin as he avoids it easily. Rin connects with a solid leg kick. Rin needs to keep his hands up - Baggins had a free shot at his head there. Rin misses with a body shot.
Rin avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rin throws a big shot that misses. Baggins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rin. Baggins throws a series of punches but Rin avoids them all with ease. Rin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rin misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Baggins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rin is looking to clinch but Baggins is avoiding it.

Nice straight punches there by Baggins. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Baggins. This has been an exciting period of action! Rin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Baggins shoots in looking for a takedown but Rin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baggins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Baggins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rin's head backwards. Baggins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Baggins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rin can pounce on him.

Kaito Rin seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rin wants it to stay on the feet. Baggins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rin can pounce on him.
