Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malik Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Oak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Oak looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Oak!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oak bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Guerrero's head.
Oak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Oak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guerrero sprawls well initially but Oak persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Oak throws a strike but Guerrero avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Guerrero wants to stand and escape but Oak is having none of it.
Oak trying to control but Guerrero is working from the bottom.
Oak wants to stand and escape but instead Guerrero has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Guerrero lands a couple of digs.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Guerrero's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Guerrero stands and steps away. Oak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Oak instigates a clinch.
Oak tries to pull guard but Guerrero won't allow it.
Oak wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oak can't get the takedown.
Oak is looking for a takedown.
Malik Guerrero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Oak.
Guerrero trying to land knees to the body.
Oak wants to break free but Guerrero has control.
Oak has had enough of the clinch but Guerrero keeps him there for the moment.
Guerrero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Oak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oak slaps away a takedown attempt from Guerrero, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Oak clinches up with Guerrero and pushes him back against the cage.
Oak jumps guard but Guerrero stands there with Oak around his waist. Oak gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oak looking for a takedown.
Oak wants to break free but Guerrero has control.
Guerrero tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Oak's elbow.
Oak looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've been informed that Oak has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Oak wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Guerrero has him pressed against the cage.
Guerrero can't find room to land a body shot as Oak controls the action.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Guerrero takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Oak fails to pull guard.
Oak working hard to break the clinch.
Guerrero misses with a short punch on the inside.
Guerrero prevents the takedown attempt.
Oak fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Guerrero prevents Oak from breaking the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Oak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guerrero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Oak swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gary Oak dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Guerrero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Oak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Oak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guerrero defends it easily.
Guerrero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Guerrero works over Oak with some ground and pound from guard.
Oak manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Guerrero wants to hold on but Oak pushes him away.

Oak unloads with some shots from mount but Guerrero bucks and avoids them well.
Oak looking to ground and pound but Guerrero is blocking nicely.
Oak wants to control the action but instead Guerrero gets a body lock and reverses into Oak's guard! Nice work!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guerrero is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Guerrero lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Oak looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Guerrero passes into half guard.
Oak is breathing heavily.
Guerrero drops an elbow to the side of Oak's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Guerrero is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Oak is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Malik Guerrero!
