Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maniek King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darwingh Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maniek King has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maniek King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darwingh Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alvarez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Alvarez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alvarez wants it to stay on the feet.

Alvarez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
King scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
King is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Alvarez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and King connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alvarez scrambles back to his feet.
Maniek King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but Alvarez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alvarez to the ground. Alvarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

King throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
King connects with a crisp jab.
King lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
King tries to clinch but Alvarez moves out of range.
Alvarez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.

King wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King gets underhooks to prevent Alvarez's takedown attempt.
King lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Alvarez shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Alvarez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

King moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

King clinches.
Alvarez drops down looking for an ankle pick but King pulls his leg out and moves away.
Maniek King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Maniek King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

King pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alvarez back to the cage. King follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Maniek King showed his dominance in that final round.
Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
