PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kain Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Odinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kain Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odinson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Odinson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Escobar to score with a decent uppercut.
Escobar throws a hook to the side of Odinson's head but Odinson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Escobar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jab, jab by Escobar - just one landing.
Odinson dives in for a single leg takedown but Escobar sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Odinson is working for takedown but Escobar is calmly controlling the position for now.
Odinson effectively controlling the action here.
Escobar lands a body punch in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Escobar dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Odinson wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Odinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Odinson wants to take the fight to the mat but Escobar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Odinson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Escobar after a bit of a struggle.

Odinson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Escobar is defending well.
Odinson tries to pull guard but Escobar won't allow it.

Escobar breaks the clinch.
Odinson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Escobar connects with a good right hand that stumbles Odinson. Odinson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kain Escobar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Odinson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Escobar misses with an uppercut.
Odinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Escobar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Escobar wants it to stay on the feet.

Odinson walks into a straight right hand from Escobar.
Odinson is breathing heavily.
Odinson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Escobar.
Escobar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Odinson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Escobar throws out the jab.

Odinson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Escobar as he jumps to the side.

Escobar lands a big right hand that sends Odinson crashing to the mat! Escobar stays standing though and waves Odinson back to his feet!

Escobar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oh Odinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A telegraphed right hand from Escobar misses the target.
Escobar's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Escobar's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Odinson seems to have got his legs back now.

Odinson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Odinson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Escobar scores with a sloppy right hand. Odinson should have avoided that one.

Escobar is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Odinson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Odinson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Escobar.
Kain Escobar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Odinson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Odinson lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Odinson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Escobar seems keen to control Odinson's posture.
Odinson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Escobar is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kain Escobar dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Odinson walks into a stiff left hand from Escobar.
Escobar stuffs the takedown.
Odinson fails with a takedown attempt.
Odinson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Escobar pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Escobar misses with a looping right.
Escobar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Odinson.
Escobar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Odinson shoots in for a takedown but Escobar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Escobar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Odinsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheers as Escobar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Odinson doesn't seem phased though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Escobar catches Odinson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Escobar lands a glancing blow to the side of Odinson's head.
Escobar drops Odinson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Escobar follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kain Escobar!
A very excited looking Kain Escobar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
