Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, El Chavo!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavo throws a lazy uppercut
and Gzrel counters with an inside leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Gzrel.
Gzrel tries a head kick but it misses.
Gzrel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chavo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gzrel misses with a low kick.
Nice defenses there by Chavo.
Gzrel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gzrel throws a low kick but Chavo moves out of range easily.
A clash of legs there as Chavo blocks the low kick.
Chavo missing with a left hand there. Gzrel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gzrel takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gzrel misses with a hook. Chavo ducked under it nicely.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gzrel controls Chavo momentarily but Chavo frees himself.
Chavo throws a big right hand that misses.
Gzrel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavo postures up in Gzrel's guard and throws a big left but Gzrel blocks it.
Gzrel keeping moving, preventing Chavo from controlling successfully.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chavo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Chavo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Chavo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gzrel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chavo connects with a couple of short punches.
Chavo controlling from the top position.
Gzrel pulls Chavo in close to prevent any damage.
Chavo wants to pass the guard but Gzrel is keeping the position.
Chavo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Chavo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Chavo postures up in Gzrel's guard and throws a big left but Gzrel blocks it.
Chavo won't allow Gzrel to sweep him here.
Chavo forces his way into half guard.
Chavo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Chavo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gzrel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chavo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Gzrel is looking to improve his position.

Gzrel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chavo.
Chavo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Chavo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Chavo throws a big right hand that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gzrel wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Chavo manages to pass to side control.
Chavo is trying to control the action in half guard but Gzrel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El Chavo dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Chavo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gzrel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chavo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gzrel tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gzrel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Gzrel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gzrel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gzrel there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd cheers as Chavo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gzrel doesn't seem phased though.

Chavo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gzrel was well out of range. Poor timing from Chavo.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gzrel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Nice straight punches there by Chavo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chavo.

Gzrel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chavo drops Gzrel with a huge uppercut! Gzrel drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Chavo is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
