Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Booker Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Butler! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler feints and as Wright raises his hands in defense, Butler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Butler content to stall in guard here. Wright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wright is trying to keep Butler in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wright is controlling Butler's posture.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Butler throws a push kick but Wright slaps the foot to one side. Wright with a lazy takedown attempt and Butler counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Butler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wright wants to hold on but Butler pushes him away. Wright regains half guard. Wright trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Butler is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Wright is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Wright flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Butler anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Wright and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Butler slips an arm under Wright chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Butler has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Butler is squeezing on Wright like an anaconda would it's prey. Wright fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Roger Butler!
