Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Owen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Owen as Gracie shoots in.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Owen tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Owen to the ground. Owen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've been informed that Owen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Owen as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bubba Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Donk. Owen catches Gracie right on the button with a cross.
Owen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gracie dives in for a single leg takedown but Owen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Owen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Owen has Gracie pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Gracie is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Owen - that's hurt Gracie badly! Oh, another knee lands and Gracie is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Gracie doesn't seem to be complaining.
