Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duce Bigalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balian Ibelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ibelin's choice of entrance music: Never Let It Die. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duce Bigalo! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Balian Ibelin! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibelin connects with a crisp jab. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bigalo, right into the meat.
Ibelin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Ibelin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bigalo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ibelin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bigalo walks away with a smile on his face. Ibelin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ibelin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bigalo slips under a jab from Ibelin. Bigalo catches Ibelin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ibelin shoots in and drives through. Bigalo sprawls well. Duce Bigalo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Balian Ibelin. Ibelin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bigalo. Bigalo obviously looking to wear him down.
Bigalo scores with a head kick. Ibelin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Ibelin is rocked! Ibelin lands with a right hand. Bigalo connects with an inside leg kick. Bigalo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ibelin finds it's way round the side to connect with Bigalo's head. Bigalo lands with a kick to the ribs.

Bigalo lands a big head kick that sends Ibelin tumbling to the mat! Bigalo takes a step backwards and waves Ibelin back to his feet - he wants the finish! Ibelin is still on wobbly legs! Can Bigalo finish him? Bigalo lands a front kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bigalo with a knee to the head.

Bigalo lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bigalo lands an elbow just above Ibelin 's eye. Ibelin takes a knee right on the jaw!

Bigalo lands an elbow that stopped Ibelin in his tracks for a moment. Ibelin takes an elbow to the temple. Bigalo keeps control of Ibelin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bigalo lands an elbow inside.

Bigalo with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Bigalo crunches a lovely knee into Ibelin's ribcage. Bigalo lands an elbow inside. Bigalo lands a damaging elbow. Ibelin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bigalo lands a nice elbow. Bigalo landing knees to the head.

Nice elbow from Bigalo. Bigalo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ibelin in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Bigalo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ibelin takes an elbow to the forehead. Bigalo scores with a knee to the head.
Bigalo jerks Ibelin's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Ibelin drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Bigalo goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Bigalo because Ibelin was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Duce Bigalo! Duce Bigalo retains his lightweight title! An out of breath Duce Bigalo thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
