The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barral throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Shark's waist but The Shark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barral off to one side.
The Shark throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Barral ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A combination from The Shark does no damage.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by The Shark!
The Shark throws a right and a left that Barral avoids nicely.
The Shark gets caught flat footed, as Barral shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barral postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Shark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barral, into his guard.
The Shark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The Shark is posturing up here but Barral has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! The Shark tries to roll out but it's too tight and The Shark has to tap! Slick submission there by Barral!
