Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veldrane Sengir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veldrane Sengir! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sengir displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taylor. Taylor closes the distance and clinches up with Sengir, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes Sengir against the cage but Sengir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sengir tries to keep at a distance but Taylor has taken the fight into the clinch. Sengir breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sengir keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sengir dives in for a single leg takedown but Taylor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Sengir is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Taylor pulls him back up using the underhooks. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Taylor breaks from the clinch.
Taylor shoots and misses letting Sengir counter with a right hand. Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taylor showed some decent athleticism there. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Taylor is pressing down on Sengir's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sengir is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sengir avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Taylor. Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sengir's head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Taylor lands a nice short elbow. Taylor seems to be looking for submissions.
Taylor prevents Sengir from improving his position. Sengir has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Sengir trying to control here.

Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Taylor is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Taylor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Taylor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sengir not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sengir is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sengir wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Taylor wants to stand but Sengir is controlling the position.

Taylor has his foot on Sengir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sengir works his way back into a safe position though. Sengir engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sengir wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Sengir slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Taylor has a closed guard, preventing Sengir from standing up. Sengir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Veldrane Sengir. Sengir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sengir lands in his opponent's guard. Sengir controlling from the top position. Taylor looking for a guillotine here but Sengir defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sengir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Taylor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sengir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taylor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sengir has managed to get both his arms back between Taylor's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jason Taylor will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jason Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sengir tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sengir stuffs the takedown attempt from Taylor. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet. Sengir fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Taylor pushes Sengir up against the cage in a clinch. Taylor is pushing Sengir up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Taylor breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sengir was well out of range. Poor timing from Taylor. Sengir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away. Taylor shoots and misses and Sengir counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sengir pinned against the cage. Sengir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Taylor tries to clinch but Sengir is having none of it. Sengir closes the distance and clinches up with Taylor, looking for a takedown. Sengir pushes Taylor against the cage but Taylor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck for Sengir with that takedown attempt. Taylor gets caught napping as Sengir dives in and scores a takedown. Taylor manages to retain guard. Taylor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Taylor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Sengir seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sengir wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sengir defends it easily. Taylor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Taylor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sengir is now in Taylor's guard. A big mistake from Taylor there, giving up the dominant position! Taylor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sengir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sengir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Taylor tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sengir controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sengir stands and steps away. Taylor gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sengir dives in for a single leg takedown but Taylor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Taylor blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Taylor pushes down on Sengir's head and hops out. Sengir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Taylor sprawls well. Taylor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The ref stands the fighters back up because Jason Taylor just wasn't active enough. Taylor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sengir. Taylor with a lazy takedown attempt and Sengir counters with a stiff right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sengir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Sengir which made him look bad. Sengir trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taylor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sengir is aware though and is defending well. Sengir wants to get up but he can't break Taylor's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Veldrane Sengir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sengir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Taylor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
