Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kova Tangis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hades comes to the cage accompanied by Bon Jovi: Wanted Dead Or Alive. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Hades!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Kova Tangis!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hades scores with a one two! Tangis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tangis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tangis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hades moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hades bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tangis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sloppy strikes from Hades. Those never looked like landing.

Hades gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hades prevents the takedown attempt.
Hades is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The crowd cheers as Hades lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tangis doesn't seem phased though.

Hades clinches up with Tangis and pushes him back against the cage.

Hades's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tangis pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hades is out of range and Tangis settles back down.

Hades definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hades moves in looking to clinch but Tangis pushes him off.

Hades shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tangis's guard.

Hades is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tangis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hades trying to control but Tangis is working from the bottom.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hades slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Tangis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hades. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hades has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Tangis avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hades.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tangis's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Tangis holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hades tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Tangis is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The referee warns Tangis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tangis is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hades has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hades scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tangis doesn't seem bothered though.
Hades stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kova Tangis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tangis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hades is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tangis can do to turn this around?

Hades shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tangis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Tangis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hades is controlling him.

Hades throws an elbow that misses. Tangis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hades's guard. Nice move by Tangis!

Tangis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hades has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tangis has managed to get both his arms back between Hades's legs - danger averted.

Hades is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sam Hades overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hades fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hades pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Hades! Tangis is hurt baaadly! Hades is firing away with more strikes - Tangis is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
