Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baisais Lacplesis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baisais Lacplesis!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacplesis shoots for a double leg takedown but Doe sprawls well. He's pushed Lacplesis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lacplesis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Doe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Doe looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Lacplesis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lacplesis misses with a takedown
and Doe counters with a big head kick but Lacplesis shrugs it off.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baisais Lacplesis.

Lacplesis tries to throw a body punch but Doe avoids it by throwing Lacplesis back against the cage.

Doe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Doe struggles to land a body shot inside as Lacplesis controls his hands.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lacplesis.
Lacplesis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Doe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lacplesis backwards.
Lacplesis is working Doe over against the cage.
Lacplesis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Doe or not.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lacplesis working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Doe lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lacplesis backwards.
Doe tries to work over Lacplesis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lacplesis misses with a punch to the body.
Lacplesis turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lacplesis manages to end up in side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Doe is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lacplesis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lacplesis with the ground and pound but Doe uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Doe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Doe fails to advance to Lacplesis's back.
Doe trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lacplesis tries to hold on but Doe postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doe moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lacplesis has worked his arm free - good work by Lacplesis!
Doe wants to control but Lacplesis is keeping him busy.
Lacplesis wants to control but Doe postures up.
Doe stands up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lacplesis.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lacplesis fails with a takedown attempt.
Lacplesis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lacplesis off to one side.
Lacplesis looks winded!
Doe lands a head kick. Lacplesis smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Baisais Lacplesis has been cut.
Doe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Doe lands with a right hand.
Lacplesis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Doe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Doe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Doe thuds his shin into the meat of Lacplesis's side.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doe throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doe lands with a shot to the body.
Lacplesis shoots in and drives through. Doe sprawls well.
Doe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Doe moves in looking to clinch but Lacplesis pushes him off.
A cross from Doe lands.
Doe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Lacplesis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Doe scores with a head kick. Lacplesis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Lacplesis is rocked!
Lacplesis walks into a stiff left hand from Doe.
Lacplesis is still on wobbly legs! Can Doe finish him?
Baisais Lacplesis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lacplesis if he has to take too many more of those.
Doe lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lacplesis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Lacplesis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Doe chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Doe drops Lacplesis with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lacplesis! Doe dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Doe!
A very excited looking John Doe made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
