Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony El (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julio Acosta has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tony El's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony El! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Acosta! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El shoots in looking for a takedown. Acosta tries to sprawl out of it but El keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Acosta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Acosta leaves El with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. El is looking to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Acosta is defended easily by El. El shoots in for a double leg but Acosta sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony El. That's going to take a lot out of him. El closes the distance and clinches. Acosta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No luck with that takedown attempt from El. El on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Acosta. Acosta obviously looking to wear him down.

This has been an exciting period of action! Acosta avoids the body shot from El.
El throws a body punch but Acosta moves out of range. A head kick misses from Acosta. Julio Acosta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Acosta. El gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Acosta to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Acosta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Acosta trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. El looking for a sweep. Not yet El, not yet. Acosta controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Acosta working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Acosta wants to control from the top but El keeps moving.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Julio Acosta hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Acosta pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. El tries to clinch and Acosta counters with an inside leg kick. Acosta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts El as he jumps to the side. Acosta shoots in but no luck this time. No luck for Acosta with that takedown attempt. El is looking to take this fight into the clinch. El takes the fight into the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Acosta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El moves into the clinch. El is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. El cracks Acosta with a nice body shot. El changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Acosta fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tony El is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Acosta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. El bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Acosta misses with a takedown attempt - El sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tony El has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Acosta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Acosta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Acosta gets to his feet. El looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Acosta wants to clinch up but El keeps it at a distance. El fails to land the takedown. Horrible takedown by Acosta or perhaps it was just good defense by El which made him look bad.
