Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Beef!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beef swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Duncan counters with a shoot takedown. Beef fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Duncan throws a big elbow that misses.

Beef pushes Duncan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Beef throws a one two combo.


It looks like Fred Duncan has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Duncan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Beef throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Duncan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beef is in Duncan's guard.
Beef missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Duncan working for a triangle but Beef defends it easily.
Beef forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beef throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Beef has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Beef tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Duncan.
Duncan gets full guard.
Duncan wants to stand but Beef is controlling the position.
Beef wants to control from the top but Duncan keeps moving.
Beef is looking to stand up but Duncan won't let him.
Beef trying to control the position from guard on top but Duncan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Beef gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Beef misses with a jab, cross combination.
An inside leg kick from Beef misses.
Beef shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duncan sprawls well. Duncan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Beef gets slowly back to his feet.

Duncan gets a double leg takedown into Beef's guard.
Beef is wriggling around but Duncan manages to pass to half guard.
Nice strikes from Duncan there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beef wants to get back to his feet.
Duncan is nestled in close to Beef, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Beef kicks Duncan off and gets back to his feet.
Beef looks winded!
Beef looks to land a left hand but Duncan moved out of range nicely.
Beef misses with a hook

and Duncan counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Duncan jumps into guard, dragging Beef to the mat.
Beef trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Duncan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Beef is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Beef is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duncan defends well.

Beef is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duncan is aware though and is defending well.

Beef manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Duncan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Duncan has a closed guard, preventing Beef from standing up.
Beef throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Duncan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Beef working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Beef wants to stand but Duncan is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kobe Beef dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Fred Duncan's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Beef is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Duncan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Beef has managed to free his arm - good work.

Duncan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beef defends it well.
Duncan working the head and body with strikes.
Beef is looking to escape.

Duncan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beef tries to kick Duncan off but Duncan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kobe Beef has got the better of the ground game so far.

Duncan is trying to work for a kimura but Beef is defending well.
Beef moves into full guard.
Duncan chips away with some ground and pound.

Beef looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Duncan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Beef utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Duncan is sitting in close to Beef's body. Beef has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Duncan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Duncan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Beef.
