Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zhan Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Khabilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zhan Chi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shamil Khabilov! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chi fails with a takedown attempt. Chi fails with a takedown attempt. Khabilov throws a low kick, looking for Chi's leg but Chi calmly moves out of range. Khabilov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chi. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zhan Chi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Khabilov connects with a leg kick. Chi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Chi fails with a takedown attempt. Khabilov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Chi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A big right from Khabilov misses. Khabilov throws a leg kick but Chi moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khabilov slaps away a takedown attempt from Chi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Khabilov tries to land a leg kick but Chi saw it coming and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chi is defended easily by Khabilov. Khabilov throws a hook but Chi avoids it easily. Khabilov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chi. Chi shoots in but no luck this time. Chi is breathing heavily. Khabilov tried to score with a low kick but Chi checks it. Chi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Khabilov swivels and escapes. Khabilov wants to slow Chi down by chopping away at his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khabilov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chi. Khabilov tries to work over Chi's front leg with a kick but Chi checks it. Nice takedown defense from Khabilov. No joy for Chi on that attempt. Khabilov drops Chi with a beautiful combination! Chi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Khabilov is looking for the KO!
It looks like Zhan Chi has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! A bone on bone clash there as Chi blocks the leg kick.
Khabilov misses with a low kick. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Chi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Khabilov throws a leg kick but Chi sees it coming and checks it nicely. Chi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Chi is rocked! Khabilov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Oh Chi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Khabilov throws a nice outside leg kick. Chi seems to have got his legs back now. Chi backs away from a small jab... but Khabilov lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Chi crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Khabilov with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Shamil Khabilov!
