The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manavazyam with a nice cross.
Sokolov with a poor takedown
and Manavazyam counters with a nice uppercut.
Manavazyam with a nice cross.
Manavazyam works the jab nicely.
Sokolov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Manavazyam avoids it really well and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sokolov.
Gegam Manavazyam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitryi Sokolov.
Manavazyam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sokolov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Manavazyam lands a head kick. Sokolov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sokolov is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sokolov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manavazyam's waist but Manavazyam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sokolov off to one side.
Manavazyam misses with a few strikes there.
Sokolov blocks a head kick by Manavazyam.
Manavazyam connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Sokolov! He's out on his feet! Manavazyam rushes in and drops Sokolov with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gegam Manavazyam!
