The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKilly tries to clinch up but Sullivan circles away and keeps his distance.
Sullivan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sullivan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McKillys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Paul McKilly has been cut.
Sullivan lands a jab to the head.
Sullivan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McKilly.
McKilly uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sullivan has time to react.
Sullivan drops McKilly with a left and a right! Oh, McKilly is hurt - Sullivan dives into side control looking to finish!
McKilly is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sullivan lands a strong strike to the head of McKilly. That's dazed him! Sullivan looking to finish here. McKilly is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Sullivan lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Sullivan!
Michael Sullivan got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
