Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arto Blomsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wheeler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wheeler keeps control of the position as Blomsten tries to break free.
Blomsten wants to control his opponent's hands but Wheeler gets his hands free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wheeler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arto Blomsten dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blomsten manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wheeler on his heels. He'll look to pass Wheeler's guard now, I'm sure.

Blomsten stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wheeler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blomsten is looking for a triangle here but Wheeler uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Blomsten is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Blomsten looks to move to half guard but instead Wheeler has passed into mount! Damn!
Blomsten tries to hold on but Wheeler postures up.
Blomsten reaches up to try and control the position but Wheeler seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Blomsten rolls and tries to escape and now Wheeler has his back!
I really don't envy Blomsten right now.

Wheeler gets his hands free as Blomsten looks to control.
Blomsten is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Wheeler is staying active.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wheeler keeps control of the position as Blomsten tries to break free.
Blomsten tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Wheeler has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Blomsten is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
