Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caestus Marstorius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Ward!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marstorius throws out the jab.
Marstorius tries to sprawl but Ward drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ward uses his free foot to push down on Marstorius's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Marstorius.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ward lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Marstorius hang on?
Ward lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ward has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Ward! Marstorius is hurt baaadly! Ward is firing away with more strikes - Marstorius is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
