The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes catches Okunaba with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Reyes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reyes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Okunaba dives in and grabs Reyes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reyes pushes down on Okunaba's head and hops out.
Okunaba scores with a push kick.

Okunaba shoots in and bounces Reyes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Reyes wants to get back to his feet but Okunaba is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Okunaba postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okunaba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Okunaba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
