Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartmen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eric Cartman - Come Sail Away . This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnathan Rhodes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Cartmen!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rhodes clinches.
Cartmen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cartmen tries to land knees in the clinch but Rhodes avoids the damage to the body.
Cartmen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rhodes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Rhodes tries to pull guard but Cartmen holds him up against the cage and eventually Rhodes drops back down to his feet.
Rhodes is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cartmen is keeping busy.
Cartmen tries to land knees in the clinch but Rhodes avoids the damage to the body.

Rhodes jumps guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cartmen trying to control the position from guard on top but Rhodes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rhodes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rhodes keeping moving, preventing Cartmen from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cartmen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rhodes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cartmen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rhodes is keeping the position for now.
Rhodes keeping moving, preventing Cartmen from controlling successfully.
Cartmen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rhodes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rhodes controls Cartmen momentarily but Cartmen frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cartmen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rhodes is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes trying to control from the bottom.
Rhodes wants to get back to full guard.

Cartmen is working for a kimura but Rhodes is defending it quite comfortably.
Cartmen stops Rhodes from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rhodes trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Cartmen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cartmen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rhodes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cartmen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rhodes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cartmen.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rhodes misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes is trying to stand.
Rhodes tries to roll over but Cartmen keeps him under control.
Cartmen trying to control the action but Rhodes is working from the bottom.

Cartmen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cartmen working Rhodes over with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cartmen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rhodes keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rhodes has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cartmen is on him like a limpet, forcing Rhodes back against the cage.
Rhodes wants to break free but Cartmen has control.
Rhodes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cartmen smiles and moves away.
Rhodes shoots in but Cartmen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnathan Rhodes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rhodes is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rhodes checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Cartmen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Cartmen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rhodes fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cartmen moves into the clinch successfully.

Rhodes manages to break the clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cartmen.
Cartmen scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rhodes throws a wild body kick that Cartmen sees coming a mile off.
Cartmen misses with a body kick.
Eric Cartmen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cartmen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cartmen avoids the head kick by Rhodes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cartmen sprawls well. Cartmen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rhodes gets slowly back to his feet.
A bone on bone clash there as Rhodes blocks the leg kick.
Rhodes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cartmen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rhodes somewhat.
No joy there for Cartmen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rhodes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cartmen misses with a kick to the body
and Rhodes counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rhodes throws a series of punches but Cartmen moves out of range.
Cartmen throws a low kick but Rhodes moves out of range easily.
Cartmen thows a body shot but no joy.
Rhodes wants to clinch up but Cartmen keeps it at a distance.
Cartmen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rhodes's hands.
Cartmen avoids a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cartmen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rhodes tries to clinch but Cartmen moves away

and Cartmen counters with a head kick that drops Rhodes to the mat! Rhodes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cartmen has Rhodes up against the cage in a clinch.

Rhodes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Some bone on bone action there as Rhodes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Cartmen lands a big head kick that sends Rhodes to the canvas! Cartmen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Cartmen!
During a confident post fight interview, Eric Cartmen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
