Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Akey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Waddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Akey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Waddell! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akey drives through with a takedown into guard. Waddell keeping moving, preventing Akey from controlling successfully. Akey stops Waddell from standing up. Akey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Waddell manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Waddell is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akey is working to get back to half guard.
Waddell with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Akey flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Waddell avoids the attempt from Akey to control. Akey is controlling an arm, preventing Waddell from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Waddell tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Akey tries to reverse the position but Waddell maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddell blocks Akey's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waddell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Waddell wants to stand but Akey is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Waddell looks gassed! Akey somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Akey shoots in and bounces Waddell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Akey wants to pass the guard but Waddell is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waddell wants to improve his position but instead Akey has moved into half guard.
Waddell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Akey. Akey is controlling the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Akey lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Akey dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Waddell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Akey working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Waddell's head. Akey working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Waddell wants to stand up but Akey is controlling him. Waddell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Akey works a leg free and moves into half guard. Akey uses his free foot to push down on Waddell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Waddell. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Waddell is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Akey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Akey putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Akey lands a nice shot to the head. Akey unloading with bombs! A nice elbow there by Akey. Waddell takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akey scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Waddell?
Akey landing shots from mount. Akey is in the full mount, landing strikes. Waddell is bucking up trying to escape but Akey cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Akey has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Waddell's face.
Akey cracks Waddell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Akey looking to control and managing it successfully. Waddell taking shots to the head. Waddell is wriggling around trying to escape.
Akey with the ground and pound from mount. Waddell working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Akey with a couple of short strikes. Akey with shots to the head and body - Waddell looks very uncomfortable down there. Akey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Akey looking to secure an arm triangle but Waddell defends it well. Waddell is squirming around, avoiding Akey's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Akey dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Akey darts in and clinches Waddell up against the cage. Waddell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Akey blocks it with crossed arms. Akey wants a takedown.
Waddell manages to break the clinch.
Akey scores with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waddell darts in trying to clinch and Akey counters with a head kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Akey lands some shots froms side control. Akey laying and praying for a moment but Waddell takes advantage and regains half guard. Akey not landing any meaningful shots this time. Akey is looking to stall here but Waddell recovers full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Waddell is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akey is looking to sweep but instead, Waddell has passed into half guard.
Akey is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akey with the active half guard here but Waddell passes nicely into side control. Austin Akey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Waddell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Akey shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Akey tries to clinch and Waddell counters with a takedown into side control. Waddell gets to mount! Akey was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Akey slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Waddell is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Akey has managed to free his arm - good work. Waddell works his way into full mount!
And that's the end of the fight! William Waddell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Akey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
