Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karlos Kondiitti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kondiitti has chosen Kuningas Pähkinä & Setä Tamu - Hei Scully as his entrance music. Karlos Kondiitti acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle Walters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karlos Kondiitti!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondiitti throws an off balance right hand

and Walters counters with a head kick that drops Kondiitti!


Kondiitti is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walters pushing down on Kondiitti's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kondiitti is still in real trouble! Can Walters finish him?
Kondiitti wants to get back to his feet.

Walters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Walters is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kondiitti is just riding it out for now. Walters eventually gives up the hold.
Walters missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Kondiitti seems to have recovered his senses.

Walters is trying to work for a kimura but Kondiitti is defending well.

Walters wants to work for an arm triangle but Kondiitti is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kondiitti felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Walters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kondiitti has managed to free his arm - good work.
Walters not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Walters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kondiitti's head.
Walters is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Walters looking for a submission but Kondiitti manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Walters wants to pass the guard but Kondiitti is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walters is pushing down on Kondiitti's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kondiitti is fighting to maintain full guard but Walters has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kondiitti looks winded!
Walters throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kondiitti to regain full guard.
Walters pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kondiitti is keeping the position for now.

Walters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kondiitti is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walters, into his guard.

Walters scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walters lands with a good body shot.
Walters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kondiitti circles away quickly and effectively.
Kondiitti scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Walters tries a head kick but it misses.
Walters avoids the body shot from Kondiitti.
Walters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kondiitti throws a leg kick

and Walters counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Walters.
Kondiitti tries for a takedown. No joy.

Walters has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kondiitti is trying to keep an underhook but Walters manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Walters is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Kondiitti still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Kondiitti has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Kondiitti stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walters shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kondiitti eats them both and turns towards Walters to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Walters misses with a wild combination.
Kondiitti slips a jab and a cross from Walters.
Walters throws a right hand that Kondiitti ducks under and follows up with a left that Kondiitti also avoids with ease.
Kondiitti shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Walters manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kondiitti on his heels. He'll look to pass Kondiitti's guard now, I'm sure.
Walters wants to stand but Kondiitti has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walters throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Walters dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Kondiitti gets caught flat footed, as Walters shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Walters passes into half guard.

Walters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Walters throws a strike but Kondiitti avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Walters throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kondiitti is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walters throwing strikes but missing.

Walters drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kondiitti dives on top into guard.
Kondiitti wants to stand but Walters is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kondiitti stops Walters from standing up.

Walters has his feet on Kondiitti's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Kondiitti throws a leg kick that is checked
and Walters counters with a three punch combo that has Kondiitti backing up. Kondiitti nods at Walters to acknowledge the strikes.

Walters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walters drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walters jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Walters has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Walters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kondiitti can do to turn this around?

Walters is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Walters has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kondiitti has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Walters breaks from the clinch.
Kondiitti misses with a left hand
and Walters counters with a left and a right that stings Kondiitti.
Karlos Kondiitti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walters shoots in and drives through. Kondiitti sprawls well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kondiitti with a poor takedown
and Walters counters with a one-two to the body.
Walters lands a head kick!
Walters throws a right and a left that Kondiitti avoids nicely.
Kondiitti throws a looping overhand right but Walters ducks down to avoid it.
Kondiitti misses with a leg kick
and Walters counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Kondiitti! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kyle Walters!
