PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maciej Jewtuszko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Pheonix. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tristan Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Maciej Jewtuszko!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Lee looks for a takedown but Jewtuszko sprawls well.

Jewtuszko gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.

Lee gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Jewtuszko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've been hearing that Lee has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jewtuszko can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Still in half guard, Lee seems content to control.

Jewtuszko is in trouble now - Lee has advanced to mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lee pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee dives in and grabs Jewtuszko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jewtuszko pushes down on Lee's head and hops out.

Lee shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jewtuszko is trying to defend but Lee finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jewtuszko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lee has control of Jewtuszko's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jewtuszko regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lee content just to control the position here.

Jewtuszko leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tristan Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
