PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Paavo Anttolainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tourney Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paavo Anttolainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Fighter!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fighter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fighter lunges at Anttolainen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Anttolainen's hand.
Fighter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Anttolainen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Anttolainen is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Oh Anttolainen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fighter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tourney Fighter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fighter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tourney Fighter decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
