Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrone Boone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan West!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone tries to clinch
and West counters by moving into the clinch.
Boone keeps control of West as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
West is trying to break the clinch but Boone is controlling him.
West is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Boone is defending well.
West tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Boone just stands there and leans against the cage.
Boone putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has West in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Boone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
West is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyrone Boone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan West.
West keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Boone lands a big head kick that sends West tumbling to the mat! Boone takes a step backwards and waves West back to his feet - he wants the finish!
West is rocked!
It looks like Ryan West has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That kick from Boone tenderised West's leg. West is trying to keep his angry face on.
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Boone finish him?
A head kick by Boone - that's a beauty! West is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Boone can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tyrone Boone!
