Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lightweight SB (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lightweight SB has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ezekiel Cash's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ezekiel Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lightweight SB!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash slips a jab and a cross from SB.
Cash could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
SB tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
SB misses with a head kick.
SB wants to clinch

and Cash counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for SB!
Cash just content to control the position.

Cash tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
SB can't do much from the bottom here.
Cash throws an elbow but SB slips to the side and avoids it well.
SB tries to improve position but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
SB wants to control but Cash postures up.
Cash avoids the strikes from the bottom by SB.
SB is trying to escape the position but Cash is controlling the position.
Cash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for SB on the ground.

You can see the frustration on SB's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

SB shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than SB was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cash gets back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
SB seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cash does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cash moves into full guard.
Cash is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
SB has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cash is proving hard to escape from.

SB wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving.
Cash wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lightweight SB hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
SB misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cash misses the shot to the body.
SB fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cash manages to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cash looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

SB fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cash sprawls well initially but SB persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cash wants to control the action here but instead SB manages to pass to full mount!
SB tries to control but Cash wriggling away.
Cash regains half guard.
Cash trying to hold on to SB's head to control him but SB postures up.
SB thows a huge punch but Cash dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cash controlling the position for now.

SB wants to stand up but Cash has a hold of him and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


SB looks to clinch

and Cash counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
SB wants to stall.

SB's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

SB shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than SB was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cash tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but SB wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cash wants to control but SB postures up.
Cash keeps SB under control for a moment.
Cash can't do much from the bottom here.
Cash is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
SB has control of an arm but Cash manages to advance to SB's back!

SB is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Cash.
Cash doesn't have the hooks in and SB manages to turn into his guard.

Cash looking for a guillotine here but SB defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cash wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ezekiel Cash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
SB wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving.

SB throws a big elbow that misses.
SB trying to control the position from guard on top but Cash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

SB might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cash haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Cash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

SB is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cash sees it coming and defends easily.

Cash is staying active underneath SB, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cash wants to control but SB is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lightweight SB showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

SB is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Cash is staying active.
Cash seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lightweight SB wasn't active enough on the ground.

SB closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
It looks like SB is going to stand back up.
Cash controlling the position well.
SB trying to pass the guard but Cash defending well.
Cash holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
SB closes the distance but Cash moves to the side

so Cash counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

SB working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cash doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cash manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cash is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
SB looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cash is one step ahead there.
SB is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Ezekiel Cash wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

SB changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A bit of a lull in the action here.

SB wants to get back to his feet.
SB throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
SB is pressing down on Cash's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cash is holding on for now.
Cash tries to roll over but SB keeps him under control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lightweight SB.
Well SB has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lightweight SB spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
