Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Pro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rener Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rener Gracie was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bjj Pro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Rener Gracie! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Pro persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pro is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pro. Pro is controlling the pace.
Pro's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Gracie is not content to let Pro control the position. Pro not doing much here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bjj Pro. Gracie fails with the takedown. Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pro's waist but Pro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pro throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pro is in Gracie's guard. Pro looking to pass the guard. Gracie trying to control the position.
Gracie is pulling down on Pro's head to control his posture. Pro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rener Gracie was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gracie tries to sprawl but Pro drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pro is working for a submission of some sort.
Pro slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pro is looking to stall here but Gracie recovers full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Pro trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pro manages to get himself to full guard.
Pro is pulling down on Gracie's head to control his posture. Pro wants to sweep but no luck. Pro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Pro keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Pro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bjj Pro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rener Gracie. Pro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away. Pro tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Pro trying to control the pace. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pro. Pro is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bjj Pro. Pro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Good work by Gracie as he checks the leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gracie is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Pro wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bjj Pro dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pro controlling from the top position. Gracie looking to control but Pro passes into half guard.
Pro trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom. Bjj Pro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie is positioning himself well to prevent Pro advancing to mount. Pro is looking for a kimura here.

Pro wants to work for an arm triangle but Gracie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pro looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pro keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Pro is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Gracie stands and throws Pro's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gracie working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pro's legs. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pro keeps working. Gracie tries for a kimura but Pro is defending well. Pro is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it. Pro regains half guard. Gracie wants to control but Pro is keeping him busy. Pro gets back to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pro pushes a forearm under Gracie's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Gracie is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
