Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Graig Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bell Bree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bell Bree will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Graig Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bell Bree! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Cook misses with a body shot.
Cook throws a right and a left that both miss. Graig Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Cook.
Cook fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bree, pushing him back against the cage. Bree has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cook uses from the top position. Cook will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bree is pulling down on Cook's head. It's preventing any offense from Cook, at least for the moment. Cook engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook stands up from Bree's guard - Cook perhaps looking for a knockout. Cook is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cook misses the shot to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Cook gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bree blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook lands a takedown into guard.
Bree controlling the position. Cook is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bree pulls Cook in close to his closed guard and prevents Cook from doing any damage or advancing position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bree is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cook has his hands on Bree's head, controlling the position. Cook keeping moving, preventing Bree from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cook misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cook moves into range and clinches up with Bree. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Graig Cook dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cook darts in and clinches Bree up against the cage. Cook is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cook has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bree uses from the top position. Bree looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cook keeping full guard, as Bree tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cook wants to control the position but Bree says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Bree is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook wants to get back to full guard. Cook is trying to maintain the position but Bree is very close to passing his half guard. Bree seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cook is looking to escape. Cook tries to roll over but Bree keeps him under control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cook tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Bree keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Bell Bree has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bree swats away the attempt to clinch by Cook. Cook moves into range and clinches up with Bree. Bree jumps into guard, dragging Cook to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bree not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cook engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cook scoring with punches to the head and body. Cook decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bree, up you get! Cook moves into the clinch successfully.

Cook seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Graig Cook overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bree looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cook tries to close the distance and clinch but Bree swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Graig Cook will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Cook tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cook fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Cook. Bree does a little dance to reset his feet. Cook lands a glancing blow to the side of Bree's head. Cook throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bree. Cook rushes Bree and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cook misses with a hook from the clinch. Cook swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bree jumps guard and drags Cook to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Bree looking to control.
Bree controlling the position. Bree manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cook manages to get himself to full guard.
Cook is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cook had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bree defends it easily. Cook managing to control the position. Bree stopping the sweep attempt from Cook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook being controlled here, momentarily. Cook wants to sweep here but Bree controlling him for the moment.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bree wants to improve his position but instead Cook has moved into half guard.
Bree is pressing down on Cook's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Graig Cook. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
