Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike McMahon! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McMahon.
McMahon throws a half hearted mid kick. McMahon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McMahon with a lazy takedown attempt and Knight moves into the clinch. McMahon tries to circle away but Knight has him pinned against the cage. McMahon manages to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. McMahon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Knight is controlling him. Knight tries to free his leg and advance position but McMahon is retaining full guard. Knight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McMahon keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully. Knight won't allow McMahon to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Knight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McMahon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Knight throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but McMahon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knight works over McMahon with some ground and pound from guard. Knight landing some decent shots from guard. McMahon wants to stand up but Knight is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Knight passes McMahon's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Knight winds up and cracks McMahon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. McMahon taking some punishment here, with Knight in his half guard. Knight is looking to pass McMahon's guard but actually McMahon recovers to full guard. Knight passes McMahon's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Knight working McMahon over with strikes. McMahon is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight slows the pace down in half guard. McMahon tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Knight manages to move to mount!
Knight looking to finish McMahon with some ground and pound. This is bad for McMahon! Knight lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Knight lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McMahon hang on? McMahon is in a horrible position here. Knight smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Knight lands a big shot to the head and McMahon winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
