The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Wakefield.
Wakefield throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wakefield rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Page counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wakefield's guard now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wakefield avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Page prevents Wakefield from getting back to his feet.
Page showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Page wants to control from the top but Wakefield keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ashley Page was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Page takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Wakefield throws a right hand that Page ducks under and follows up with a left that Page also avoids with ease.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Page working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Page throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Page tries to stand but can't do so whilst Wakefield controls his leg.

Ashley Page has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wakefield lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Page goes down and covers up as Wakefield starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dean Wakefield!
Dean Wakefield took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'THIS IS MY TIME!'.
