Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sol Ution! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Johnson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a body punch but Ution moves out of range. No luck for Ution with that takedown attempt. Johnson thows a body shot but no joy. Danga de danga de dang - Johnson scores with a four punch combination! A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson. Johnson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Ution bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson misses with a left hand and Ution counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ution is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Ution has managed to sneak the leg through. Johnson is trying to stand up here but Ution is controlling him well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ution wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. Johnson is trying to stand back up but Ution is controlling him
Ution throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ution. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ution sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnson defending well though. Ution missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ution lands a nice short elbow. Ution frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Johnson really wants to buck Ution off and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ution lands a nice shot to the head. Ution pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth. Ution unloading with bombs! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ution punishing his opponent with strikes. Ution landing strikes from the mount and Johnson is in trouble!
Johnson is rocked! Ution working away from the top, dropping strikes. Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Ution finish him? Oooh a big shot lands for Ution! Johnson is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sol Ution! Sol Ution seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Carl Johnson spoke after the fight, saying 'I try to give my best i always fight 100 % but this time he was better than me may be next time i wll be better.
