Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slippery Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slippery Pete has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Thiago Luiz's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Pete lands a heavy elbow.
Luiz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pete on the ground.
Pete avoids the attempt from Luiz to control.
Luiz working to try and regain half guard.
Luiz wants to control but Pete is having none of it.
Pete wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Luiz is in a horrible position here. Pete smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pete prevents Luiz from getting the reversal.
Luiz tries to lock up and control but Pete gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pete scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Luiz?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Luiz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pete has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pete wants to control from the top but Luiz keeps moving.
Luiz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pete is one step ahead there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Luiz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pete, pushing him back against the cage.
Pete drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Luiz has hold of one of Pete's legs. Pete is fighting the takedown attempt but Luiz gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Pete looking for a sweep. Not yet Pete, not yet.
Pete keeping moving, preventing Luiz from controlling successfully.
Luiz drops back looking for a leg! Pete is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pete manages to kick Luiz off! Luiz jumps back into Pete's guard.

Pete manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pete postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Luiz looks a forlorn figure.
Pete can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Luiz is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luiz tries to hold on but Pete pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by Pete.
Pete lands a nice shot to the head.
Luiz wants to control but Pete is having none of it.

Luiz can't escape the position.

Pete looking to control but Luiz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Slippery Pete dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pete closes the distance and clinches up with Luiz, looking for a takedown. Pete pushes Luiz against the cage but Luiz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Luiz rushes Pete and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Luiz connects with a nasty looking knee right to Pete's face.
Luiz breaks the clinch.
Pete takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Luiz has closed the distance and engaged Pete in a clinch.
Luiz landing knees to the body.
Pete drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Luiz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Luiz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pete pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Luiz takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Luiz looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Pete tries for a takedown but Luiz manages to get underhooks.
Thiago Luiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slippery Pete.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Luiz prevents Pete from breaking the clinch.

Pete ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pete no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Pete has his foot on Luiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Luiz works his way back into a safe position though.

Luiz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Luiz wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving.
Pete doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Pete fails with a takedown attempt.
Pete shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luiz's guard.

Luiz is not content to let Pete control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luiz is looking for a sweep. Pete is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pete is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luiz gets full guard.
Luiz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pete is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Luiz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pete's back instead.
Pete manages to reverse the position and now he's in Luiz's guard. Nice work there by Pete.

Luiz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pete is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Pete wants to control from the top but Luiz keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pete controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Pete keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Luiz's head.
Slippery Pete has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pete throws a head kick but Luiz moves out of range.
Luiz throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Thiago Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pete paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pete shoots in for a takedown but Luiz shows good takedown defense.

Slippery Pete showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Horrible takedown by Pete or perhaps it was just good defense by Luiz which made him look bad.
Luiz scores with a jab. Pete acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A nice combination there by Luiz.

Luiz connects with a solid leg kick.

Luiz throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pete's head.
Luiz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Pete bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Luiz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pete tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pete tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pete has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pete is looking to take a break and control but Luiz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pete is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Luiz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pete wants to pass the guard but Luiz is defending well.
Pete looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pete seems to be looking for submissions.

Slippery Pete comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pete winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
