Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maku Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Guilherme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guilherme has chosen Gravel Pit as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maku Hiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Guilherme! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiro lands a nice hook to Guilherme's body. Guilherme takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guilherme tries to avoid it but Hiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guilherme to the ground. Guilherme escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Maku Hiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guilherme moves into the clinch. Guilherme prevents the takedown attempt.
Guilherme gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hiro.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maku Hiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guilherme scores with a shoulder strike. Guilherme escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hiro fails with the takedown and Guilherme holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hiro gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hiro throws an elbow that misses. Guilherme uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hiro's guard. Nice move by Guilherme! Guilherme controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Guilherme tries to free his leg and advance position but Hiro is retaining full guard.

Let's hope that Guilherme has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Guilherme working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Pedro Guilherme hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Guilherme closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hiro quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guilherme is taking a breather. Hiro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hiro trying to hold on to Guilherme's head to control him but Guilherme postures up.
Guilherme content to control rather than advance. Guilherme wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hiro keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pedro Guilherme. Guilherme scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Hiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hiro moves out of range of the body kick. Hiro swings widly with a right hand
and Guilherme counters with a series of strikes. Hiro will be more careful next time no doubt. Hiro is looking to clinch. Hiro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hiro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Guilherme working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hiro throws a strike but Guilherme rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hiro seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pedro Guilherme dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Guilherme moves into the clinch successfully.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Guilherme has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hiro clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Guilherme trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Guilherme has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hiro's body.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pedro Guilherme was stalling too much, according to the referee. Guilherme connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hiro momentarily.
Hiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guilherme's waist but Guilherme gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hiro off to one side. Hiro misses with a takedown attempt and Guilherme counters with a body kick. Guilherme shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Guilherme showed some decent athleticism there. Guilherme wants to pass to mount but Hiro is defending the position.

Hiro scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Guilherme controls Hiro momentarily but Hiro frees himself. Guilherme wants to sweep but no luck.

Hiro postures up in Guilherme's guard and throws a big left but Guilherme blocks it. Hiro is stalling in the full guard. Hiro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Guilherme throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hiro's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hiro wants to control from the top but Guilherme keeps moving.

A relieved looking Pedro Guilherme thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Maku Hiro spoke after the fight, saying 'What can I say besides he is brutal right? Haha, but listen to the crowd, sharing the same belief in how they feel. They are bonded into one thought and that is what it is all about here at Wolf. Creating a pack, a fan base that becomes a family. Together, him and I made it happen so I thank you all'.
