Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masa Mune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masa Mune! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Perez! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Perez looking to pass the guard. Perez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mune's guard. Perez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mune wants to get back to full guard. Mune is defending against the submission attempts here by Perez.
Perez is trying to work for a kimura but Mune is defending well.
Perez wants to work for an arm triangle but Mune is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mune! Mune manages to regain half guard. Good work. Mune is looking to control Perez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mune avoid being mounted? Perez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mune is in trouble now - Perez has advanced to mount! Mune tries to get back to half guard but can't. Perez is working for a guillotine from mount but Mune frees his head quite easily.
Mune is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mune gets back to half guard. Mune trying to control but Perez postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mune tries to get to full guard but Perez has control of the leg. Mune might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Perez passes to side control. Mune is trying to work for a sweep but Perez has mounted him! Perez is working for a guillotine from mount but Mune frees his head quite easily.

Perez working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mune turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Perez off and cradles Mune's limp body as Perez celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). David Perez! David Perez bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
