24 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, John Malham! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oppelaar tries to avoid it but Malham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oppelaar to the ground. Oppelaar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jab from Malham. Malham tries a head kick but it misses.
Oppelaar throws a combination that misses and Malham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Malham. Oppelaar has his foot on Malham's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Malham works his way back into a safe position though. Oppelaar is trying to control the position but Malham postures up. Oppelaar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dennis Oppelaar. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oppelaar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
