Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evil Muno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin St John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St John is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Uilleann Pipes. Evil Muno has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Evil Muno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colin St John!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as St John blocks the leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Muno.
St John lands a nice hook to Muno's body. Muno takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
St John takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Muno tries to clinch up.
Muno tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Muno scores with a push kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick misses from Muno.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that St John has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
St John takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Muno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. St John manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A nice inside leg kick there by Muno. That's going to slow St John down.
Muno throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Muno scores with a jab to the jaw.


It looks like Colin St John has been cut.
Muno misses with a body kick.
Muno has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Muno fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
St John throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
St John misses with an uppercut. Muno saw that one coming.

St John shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than St John was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Muno is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
St John fails to land a wild elbow strike.
St John misses with the ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Muno's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
St John passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Muno!
Muno tries to lock up and control but St John gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
St John controlling the position easily from mount.

Muno working to try and regain half guard.
St John thowing shots but they're missing.
Muno tries to get back to half guard but can't.
St John lands a big elbow.

St John is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Muno can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
St John throws some wild stikes that Muno manages to avoid easily.

Muno tries to hold on but St John pushes him away.
Muno tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
St John lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
St John throwing strikes but Muno bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
St John looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Muno has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
St John can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Muno controls the pace.
St John controls Muno momentarily but Muno frees himself.
St John keeping moving, preventing Muno from controlling successfully.
Muno is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Muno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Evil Muno has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Muno closes the distance and pushes St John back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Muno swings wildly with an uppercut but St John uses good head movement to avoid it.
St John blocks an uppercut.
Muno swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Muno lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
St John misses with some punches.
St John misses with a hook from the clinch.
Muno misses with the head strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
St John jumps guard but Muno turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Muno lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from St John.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Muno.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evil Muno dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Colin St John's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Muno.
Muno misses with a low kick.
Evil Muno is winning the standup battle so far.
St John takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
St John connects with a crisp jab.

St John dives in and scores a takedown into Muno's guard.
Colin St John has got the better of the ground game so far.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St John accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
St John has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Muno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
St John is looking to work some ground and pound but Muno has wrist control.
St John wants to control from the top but Muno keeps moving.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells St John's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Muno manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. St John manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Colin St John will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Muno looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
St John looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

St John pulls guard successfully.

St John manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
St John breaks from Muno's wrist control and lands an elbow.
St John thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
St John is in the full mount, landing strikes.

St John is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Muno has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Muno!

St John manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Muno manages to get himself to full guard.
St John tries to free his leg and advance position but Muno is retaining full guard.
St John stands up over Muno, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Colin St John wasn't active enough on the ground.
St John on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Muno displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as St John throws out the jab.

Colin St John comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
