3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gabriel Garcia! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buriza darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Buriza slaps away a takedown attempt from Garcia, before circling back to the center of the mat. Garcia fails with the takedown and Buriza counters with a right hand to the body. Garcia tries for a takedown but Buriza circles away easily and Buriza counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Garcia! Satean Buriza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Garcia. Buriza wants to control but Garcia is keeping him busy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Buriza is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Garcia is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Garcia is trying to get back to half guard. Buriza is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Buriza lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Garcia down.

Buriza connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Garcia some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Buriza pulls his head out easily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Garcia makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Garcia. Garcia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Buriza defends it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Garcia looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Buriza is defending well. Garcia quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Buriza has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Garcia celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
