Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Layzie Bone!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bone scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Coobe has hold of Bone's hands but Bone slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bone is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bone scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Bone winds up and cracks Coobe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bone passes to side control.
Coobe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bone connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Coobe some visible discomfort.
Coobe taking a bit of punishment here - Bone scoring with strikes.
Bone is working Coobe over with some ground and pound from side control.
Bone staying calm.
Coobe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Coobe tries to get out of the position.
Bone lands an elbow.

Coobe trying to remain calm as Bone controls from the top position.
Coobe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bone moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Bone working away.
Bone in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Coobe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coobe is not content to let Bone control the position.
Coobe tries to buck Bone off but Bone is having none of it.
Bone is chipping away with strikes.
Coobe is looking to reverse the position.
Bone lands an elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bone controlling the position from side mount.
You can see the frustration on Coobe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Coobe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Coobe seems a little lost for a moment, as Bone dominates the positioning.
Bone is working Coobe over with some ground and pound from side control.
Coobe is trying to control Bone's posture but Bone avoids it.
Coobe takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Coobe pushes Bone away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bone gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bone landing a few strikes.


Coobe is rocked!
Coobe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bone on the ground.
Coobe on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Oh Coobe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bone remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Coobe is looking to get back to his feet here but Bone is keeping cool and he's managed to take Coobe's back.

Bone lands strikes from the back and Coobe isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Layzie Bone!
