Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes into the arena with Programmed For Battle blaring out of the sound system. Max Doe has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Sparrow!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doe circles away quickly and effectively.
Jack Sparrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sparrow throws a left and a right that both miss
and Doe counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Doe lands a left and a right that send Sparrow crashing to the mat, dazed. Doe thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Jack Sparrow has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sparrow closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Doe has had enough of the clinch but Sparrow keeps him there for the moment.
Sparrow prevents Doe from breaking the clinch.
Doe tries to break the clinch but Sparrow is controlling the position.
Sparrow blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Sparrow gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Sparrow performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Sparrow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Doe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sparrow.
Sparrow throwing shots but Doe is blocking nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doe tries to kick Sparrow off but Sparrow keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sparrow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Doe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparrow on the ground.
Doe is trying to stand back up but Sparrow is controlling him

Sparrow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Doe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sparrow.
Doe is trying to stand up here but Sparrow is controlling him well.

Sparrow is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sparrow is keen to just control but Doe is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doe looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sparrow throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sparrow stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sparrow is trying to control the action in half guard but Doe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack Sparrow wasn't active enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sparrow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sparrow takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sparrow throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Doe misses with a two punch combination.
Sparrow tries to clinch but Doe is having none of it.
Doe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sparrow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Doe is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Doe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sparrow throws a combination that misses
and Doe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sparrow throws a leg kick but Doe moved away.
Sparrow tries to bum rush Doe with a series of wild strikes but Doe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Doe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doe connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sparrow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sparrow misses with a combination
and Doe counters with a nice uppercut.

Doe sends Sparrow crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Doe is motioning to the referee to let Sparrow up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Sparrow is rocked!
Doe connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Sparrow out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Max Doe!
A very excited looking Max Doe made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
