Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Callum Wardrop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Fletcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Callum Wardrop!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fletcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wardrop sprawls well initially but Fletcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wardrop is looking to improve his position.
Fletcher tries to stand and escape but Wardrop is controlling the position.
Fletcher is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Fletcher landing strikes from the mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wardrop is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wardrop regains half guard.
Fletcher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wardrop is not content to let Fletcher control the position.

Fletcher prevents Wardrop from improving his position.
Wardrop is trying to stand up here but Fletcher is controlling him well.
Fletcher has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Wardrop is working to get back to half guard.

Fletcher tries to control but Wardrop wriggling away.
Wardrop sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Wardrop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wardrop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fletcher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wardrop is refusing to be controlled, as Fletcher sits in half guard.

Fletcher is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wardrop doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fletcher.
Wardrop moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Wardrop will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wardrop is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fletcher is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fletcher pushes down on Wardrop's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wardrop is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fletcher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fletcher's back!

Wardrop is persistently looking for the submission but Fletcher is defending it well.
Wardrop punishes Fletcher with strikes from the back mount.
Fletcher rolls, trying to escape but Wardrop keeps control of the position.
Fletcher tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fletcher is in a horrible position here. Wardrop smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Wardrop lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fletcher hang on?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wardrop jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fletcher is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fletcher and Wardrop has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Callum Wardrop will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fletcher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wardrop manages to get himself to full guard.

Fletcher's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wardrop tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wardrop looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fletcher puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Fletcher seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wardrop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fletcher looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Wardrop tries to get to full guard but Fletcher has control of the leg.
Fletcher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wardrop keeps working.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wardrop wants to get back to full guard.
Fletcher is keen to just control but Wardrop is a slippery customer.

Ryan Fletcher has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Wardrop shoots in for a takedown but Fletcher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fletcher shoots in and gets a takedown into Wardrop's guard.
Wardrop is breathing heavily.
Wardrop keeping moving, preventing Fletcher from controlling successfully.
Wardrop wants to sweep but no luck.
Fletcher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fletcher prevents Wardrop from getting back to his feet.

Wardrop looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Fletcher passes into half guard.
Fletcher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wardrop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fletcher is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wardrop sees it coming and defends easily.

Wardrop gets back to full guard.
Fletcher has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wardrop is proving hard to escape from.

Wardrop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fletcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A close second round but Callum Wardrop will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Fletcher closes the distance and clinches.

Fletcher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wardrop connects with a couple of short punches.
Wardrop looking to pass the guard.
Wardrop is still trying to improve position.
Wardrop throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fletcher works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wardrop trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fletcher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wardrop is one step ahead there.
Callum Wardrop has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wardrop with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wardrop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wardrop postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wardrop throws a big elbow that misses.
Fletcher not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fletcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Fletcher, not yet.
Wardrop has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fletcher is proving hard to escape from.

Wardrop working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fletcher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryan Fletcher just wasn't active enough.

Fletcher gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wardrop wants to pass the guard but Fletcher is keeping the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wardrop must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wardrop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fletcher bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wardrop's guard.
Wardrop will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Fletcher postures up in Wardrop's guard and throws a big left but Wardrop blocks it.
Wardrop tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fletcher postures up and lands a big shot to Wardrop's brow.
Callum Wardrop is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fletcher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wardrop pulls Fletcher in to control the position.
Wardrop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fletcher is one step ahead there.

Wardrop has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Fletcher is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Wardrop drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fletcher gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wardrop can't break the clinch.
