Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Cecilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cecilson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is organ donor by dj shadow. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cedric Cecilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derek Greene! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greene takes a jab right on the kisser.
Greene is looking to clinch. Greene has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Greene drops his hands momentarily and Cecilson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Greene throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cecilson was covering up waiting for the punch and Greene finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Cecilson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

You can see the frustration on Cecilson's face as Greene controls the position. Cecilson tries to improve position but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Greene lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Cecilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cecilson seems a little lost for a moment, as Greene dominates the positioning. Greene really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cecilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Greene's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Greene might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derek Greene. Greene shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cecilson as he avoids it easily. Cecilson scores with the left hand. Greene knows he should have avoided that one. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Greene fails in his attempt to clinch. Cedric Cecilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Greene darts in looking for a takedown but Cecilson gets double underhooks and turns Greene into the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Greene tries for a takedown but Cecilson manages to get underhooks.
Cedric Cecilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Greene. A short right from Cecilson on the inside. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cecilson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Greene's elbow. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cecilson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derek Greene dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cecilson looks to land a body kick but Greene moved away. Greene takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters circling a little - Cecilson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Greene moves into the clinch. I was talking to Cecilson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Cecilson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cecilson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cecilson is trying to maintain a safe position but Greene gets an underhook and turns Cecilson into the cage. Greene looking for a takedown. Cecilson throws a head punch that misses. Greene gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cecilson regains guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Greene showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cecilson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Greene gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Greene wants to control from the top but Cecilson keeps moving. Cecilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Greene's corner is telling him to maintain position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cecilson is looking for a triangle but Greene pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cecilson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cecilson wants to sweep but no luck. Greene slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but Cecilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cecilson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Greene working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Greene pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cecilson is keeping the position for now. Cecilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Greene is one step ahead there. Greene with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cecilson is looking for a triangle but Greene pushes his legs off easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Greene content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cecilson lands a jab to the nose. Greene shoots in for a double leg but Cecilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Greene takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Greene shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Greene doesn't manage to clinch there - Cecilson circles away.

Greene changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cecilson tries to avoid it but Greene manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cecilson to the ground. Cecilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Greene avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Greene tries to clinch there but Cecilson circles away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cecilson.
Cecilson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cecilson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greenes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Cecilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cecilson digs a good body shot into Greene's ribs. Cecilson tries to score with a low kick but Greene moves his leg out of the way. Jab, jab by Cecilson - just one landing. Cecilson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Greene has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Greene there as he acknowledges the shot. Cecilson scores with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cecilson to score with a decent uppercut. Greene dives in for a single leg takedown but Cecilson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Cecilson is trying to break the clinch but Greene has him pressed against the cage. Greene can't get the takedown.

Greene stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cecilson. Greene takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Greene is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cecilson. Greene shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cecilson is trying to defend but Greene finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Greene seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cecilson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cecilson looking for submissions off his back. Greene is controlling the pace.

Greene with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Greene lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Cedric Cecilson! In his post fight interview, Cedric Cecilson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. The defeated Derek Greene had this to say: 'Anyone have a pen I can borrow...I only need a moment...'.
