Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudeboy Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Todd Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rudeboy Alonso! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alonso pushes Lane up against the cage in a clinch. Alonso drags the fight down to the ground.
Alonso had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lane defends it easily. Lane wants to control from the top but Alonso keeps moving. Alonso is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lane drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alonso dives on top into guard. Alonso stays in close to Lane's body and controls the position. Alonso won't allow Lane to sweep him here. Lane looking for subs off his back but Alonso has passed one foot through into half guard.
Lane wants to improve his position but Alonso is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alonso works his way into full mount! Lane tries to reverse the position but Alonso maintains control. Alonso trying to control but Lane is having none of it. Alonso might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lane haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alonso punching from mount but Lane doing a good job of avoiding damage. Alonso takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lane is trying to escape the mount.
Alonso with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Poor strikes thrown by Alonso there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Lane is looking to improve his position but Alonso isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alonso looking to control but Lane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lane tries to get back to half guard but can't. Alonso tries to control but Lane wriggling away. Lane tries to reverse the position but Alonso maintains control. Lane regains half guard. Alonso looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rudeboy Alonso wasn't active enough on the ground. Lane stuffs the takedown. Alonso throws a right hand that Lane ducks under and follows up with a left that Lane also avoids with ease. Alonso misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Alonso rushes Lane and presses him up against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lane can't get the takedown.
Lane wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alonso has him pressed against the cage. Still in the clinch, Lane scores with a nice short uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rudeboy Alonso dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Alonso has managed to clinch.
Lane fails to pull guard.
Lane prevents the takedown attempt.
Lane is trying to pull guard but Alonso has him pressed against the cage. Alonso drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alonso pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alonso sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Todd Lane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alonso looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Alonso shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lane but Lane pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alonso shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lane counters with a nice uppercut. Alonso is breathing heavily. Alonso goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Alonso throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lane sees it coming and avoids it easily. Alonso misses with a body shot.
Alonso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lane swivels and escapes. Alonso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lane avoids it really well and circles away. Alonso stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alonso shoots and misses and Lane counters by clinching up. Lane tightens his grip and picks Alonso up, before dumping him to the ground. Alonso manages to land in guard. Alonso keeping moving, preventing Lane from controlling successfully. Lane chips away with some ground and pound. Lane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alonso keeping full guard, as Lane tries to pass. Lane trying to control but Alonso is working from the bottom. Lane showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Todd Lane wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Alonso lands a head kick!
Alonso moves into range and clinches up with Lane.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lane has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alonso avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lane fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lane tries to pull guard but Alonso forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Lane manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Lane wants to improve his position but instead Alonso has moved into half guard.
Alonso content to control rather than advance. Alonso's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alonso is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lane! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rudeboy Alonso will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Alonso shoots in for a takedown but Lane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Alonso fails with the takedown. Rudeboy Alonso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alonso forces Lane back against the cage and clinches. Alonso lands a hook to the side of the head. Lane is looking to take this one to the mat. Lane misses with a knee to the head. Alonso gets underhooks to prevent Lane's takedown attempt.
Lane fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Todd Lane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alonso pulls guard successfully.
Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Alonso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lane being controlled here momentarily.

Alonso looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alonso avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Alonso seems keen to control Lane's posture. Lane looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alonso moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alonso has clasped his hands together around Lane's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The ground and pound from Alonso seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Alonso is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lane knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lane sneaks back into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lane tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Alonso has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Alonso looking to control but Lane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lane holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Alonso tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lane is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alonso has control of Lane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lane regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lane gets back to half guard. Todd Lane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rudeboy Alonso is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lane misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Rudeboy Alonso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Alonso has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
