Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scotty Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davey Smith!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Baker moves away and avoids it.
Baker fails with the takedown
and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Baker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Davey Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Baker moves out of range of the strikes.
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Baker counters with a left and a right that stings Smith.
No luck for Baker with that takedown attempt.
Smith jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Baker shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scotty Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws out a powerful jab.
Baker is rocked!
It looks like Scotty Baker has been cut.
Smith throws a jab when Baker was well out of range.
Baker walks straight into a right hand from Smith - that's dropped him! Smith jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Baker from any more punishment! Baker complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
