PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Laudrup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arto Bambang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laudrup comes to the cage accompanied by U2- Zoo Station. Bambang has chosen Suicidal Tendencies - Nobody Hears as his entrance music. Bambang has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Hans Laudrup has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bambang on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Laudrup misses with a body shot.
Laudrup looks to land a body kick but Bambang moved away.
Laudrup's corner calls for a 1-2. Laudrup obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Laudrup definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Laudrup throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laudrup fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Laudrup thumps Bambang with a low kick.
Laudrup tries to clinch up but Bambang circles away and keeps his distance.
Laudrup fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bambang manages to avoid it.

Laudrup takes the fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Laudrup.
Laudrup tries to work over Bambang's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Laudrup manages to break the clinch.

and Laudrup counters with a three punch combo that has Bambang backing up. Bambang nods at Laudrup to acknowledge the strikes.

That has opened up Arto Bambang's cut even more.

Laudrup is keen to just control but Bambang is a slippery customer.
Laudrup is nestled in close to Bambang, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Laudrup is trying to control. Bambang wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bambang won't allow Laudrup to pass to mount.
Laudrup lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bambang is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Laudrup scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laudrup wants to take a breather but Bambang is having none of it.
Laudrup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Laudrup connects with a nice short shot to Bambang's temple.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laudrup lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Laudrup working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Laudrup lands a big elbow - Bambang is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Laudrup!
