Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toi Toi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Toi. That's going to slow Briggs down.

Toi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Toi is looking for a kimura here.

Briggs flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Toi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Toi decides to stand up.

Toi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Briggs is trying to stand up here but Toi is controlling him well.

Toi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Briggs is on top in guard.

Briggs drops back, looking for a kneebar! Toi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Toi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Toi!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Briggs really is a fat lump.

Toi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Toi closes the distance and pushes Briggs back into the cage.
Briggs tries to pull guard but Toi holds him up against the cage and eventually Briggs drops back down to his feet.

Toi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Briggs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonard Briggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Briggs tries to break free but Toi pushes him back against the cage.

Toi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Toi has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Briggs regains guard immediately.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Toi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Briggs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Toi defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Toi's corner calls for a 1-2. Toi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Toi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Toi uses his free foot to push down on Briggs's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Briggs.
Toi sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Toi wants to control the pace but Briggs is squirming around nicely.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Toi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Toi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Briggs is on top in guard.

Toi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Briggs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Briggs throws a strike but Toi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Toi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Briggs is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Briggs has escaped and now he's on top!

Briggs postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Toi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Briggs, into his guard.

Toi wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Briggs's closed guard. He's half up but Briggs has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Briggs pivots and extends the arm, Toi falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Briggs! Well done that man!
