The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dollar moves out of range of the body kick from Kona.
Manu Kona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dollar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kona to the mat! Kona manages to get full guard. Dollar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dollar stops Kona from standing up. Kona is trying to control the position but Dollar postures up. Dollar wants to control from the top but Kona keeps moving. Kona looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kona tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dollar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kona works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dollar passes Kona's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Dollar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kona's head.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kona rushes Dollar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kona misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dollar.
Dollar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kona gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dollar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kona gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Kona wants to clinch. Kona throws a hook but Dollar blocks it. Dollar gets the takedown into side control. Kona is looking for a sweep. Kona regains half guard there - taking advantage of Dollar's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Dollar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kona does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dollar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dollar is thwarting Kona's attempts to control the position. Kona is pressing down on Dollar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kona is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dollar tries to clinch but Kona moves out of range. Dollar shoots in but Kona avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kona dips to his left and cracks Dollar with an uppercut! Dollar keeps the fight on the outside. Kona scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dollar closes the distance and clinches up with Kona, looking for a takedown. Dollar pushes Kona against the cage but Kona circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kona throws a looping overhand right but Dollar ducks down to avoid it. Kona will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dollar closes the distance and clinches up with Kona, looking for a takedown. Dollar pushes Kona against the cage but Kona circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kona keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dollar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kona's waist but Kona gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dollar off to one side. Kona stalks Dollar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dollar's face. Dollar staggers backwards, shaken. Kona throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dollar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kona is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dollar, into his guard. Dollar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manu Kona showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Dollar drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kona manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dollar has Kona in his guard. Dollar with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Dollar. I think Dollar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
