Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kamil Ptak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Crumbles McKewley!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ptak throws a left and a right that both miss
and McKewley counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ptak!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ptak throws a couple of strikes there.
Ptak regains half guard.
Ptak has one foot on McKewley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Ptak shoots in for a takedown but McKewley shows good takedown defense.
Ptak has closed the distance and engaged McKewley in a clinch.
McKewley pulls guard successfully.
McKewley looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ptak controls from within his opponent's guard.
Ptak slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ptak wants to stand up but McKewley has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Ptak content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
McKewley trying to control but Ptak postures up.
Ptak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ptak is nestled in close to McKewley, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McKewley avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ptak.
Ptak tries to stand and escape but McKewley is controlling the position.
McKewley tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Ptak has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Ptak working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. McKewley looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Ptak! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Kamil Ptak!
